You Built It.
We Help You Preserve It.
Thoughtful Medicaid and estate planning for New York and New Jersey families.
Helping you protect your family, your home, and your peace of mind.
What is Plan and Preserve?
More Than Documents. A Practical Plan.
Many families think estate planning means signing a Will, putting it in a drawer, and feeling done. But real life is rarely that simple. Without thoughtful planning, a health crisis, long-term care costs, incapacity, family conflict, or probate delays can put your home, your savings, and your peace of mind at risk.
Plan and Preserve was created to help families take a more thoughtful approach.
We begin by understanding your situation, your concerns, and what you want to protect. Then we help design a practical plan that brings greater clarity, confidence, and peace of mind.
Where Thoughtful Planning Matters Most
Long-Term Care and Asset Protection
For many families, the greatest financial risk is not what happens years from now, but what happens if care is needed sooner than expected.
We help clients think ahead about protecting key assets, preserving options, and planning before a crisis limits the choices available.
Family Protection and Future Planning
Planning is also about creating clarity for the people you care about most.
We help families put the right structure in place so decisions are easier, transitions are smoother, and loved ones are better protected and better supported in the years ahead.
Benefits of Planning Early
More Options
Starting early often gives you more flexibility and better choices for protecting your future, while waiting limits your options.
Financial Security
Planning early helps protect your home, savings, and other assets before a crisis puts them at risk.
Legacy Protection
Early planning gives you more control over how your assets are preserved, managed, and passed on.
Reduced Stress and Costs
Planning in advance reduces the risk of having to make important decisions under pressure and at greater expense.
Family Harmony
Clear decisions made in advance can reduce confusion, prevent misunderstandings, and help families stay aligned.
Peace of Mind
Knowing you have taken thoughtful steps now can bring clarity and confidence about what lies ahead.

Frequently Asked Questions
What if I already have a Will?
A Will may be an important part of your planning, but it may not address every risk your family could face. A review can help determine whether your current planning is enough.
Do I need a trust?
Not everyone does. The right approach depends on your assets, goals, family situation, and concerns.
Is Medicaid planning only for people who need Medicaid now?
No. Many people begin planning before there is an immediate need, so they have more options and more flexibility later.
Is it too late to start Medicaid planning if a parent is already in a nursing home or hospital?
Is there a fee for the Strategy Session?
We charge a $300 commitment fee to ensure dedicated time of legal analysis tailored specifically to your family’s financial landscape. If you choose to move forward with a full protection plan, this fee is credited directly toward your total fee.
Can my children or a family member join the meeting?
Absolutely. Most of our clients coordinate with family members. Whether your children are local or live across the country, we can ensure everyone is on the same page without requiring a commute. We offer in-person, video-conference, and hybrid meeting options.
Where are your offices located if we prefer to meet in person?
For clients who prefer a traditional meeting, we have offices in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Marlboro (New Jersey).
